Alright, so a rescue team picked up a woman and her husband just off of the coast of Cuba. After a man working for the Coast Guard translates that the husband wants Dr. House to treat his wife, they soon find out that the man's wife's medical records perished when their ship went down. They find out moments later that they both speak English.
So the man's wife, who's name is revealed to be Marina, has ten totally unrelated symptoms. Foreman gave the husband House's home phone number and he comes in to the hospital. Shortly before this he fired Chase. During the time that they inserted a catheter into her femoral artery. Then she totally flipped out. She lacked a pulse but somehow managed to keep talking. Cameron soon had to give the woman CPR while House left telling her to "Keep doing it until I can figure out whats wrong with her."
The man's husband came into House's office to ask him what was going on. Apparently he looked House up claiming that "You fix people, you save people, and now you IGNORE me? How do you save people without taking a look at them? Please you have to save my wife, she's everything to me."
The ER doctor just tried to revive Marina 6 times. After House asked him to do it once more, he refused- "Yeah...7th time's a charm. Sorry, she's dead. I'll leave her on bypass until her husband can say good-bye.". House is telling Foreman Cameron to go home because they aren't offering any helpful ideas. Foreman claims that "He won't pull the plug because YOU failed."
Now Cameron and Chase are sitting down to a fancy dinner in a restaurant, discussing about what they'll do when he leaves. Cameron walked out on him early. Cuddy is now confronting House about the fact that the patient is STILL on bypass. She thinks that he's sensitive to the fact that she'll die, letting him know that he failed. House claims- "I don't feel that I'm overly involved. My motives are pure!"
House finally gives in, telling the husband that its time to say good-bye. The husband remarks that she looks as if she's just sleeping, House responds "Nope, she's not. We double checked."
Then as the husband hugs Marina, he feels for a pulse, just in case, against all odds there is one. When House double checks it he responds "Holy crap!".
After Marina wakes up House wants to do another angiogram, despite the fact that that's what stopped her heart in the first place. The angiogram turns out alright, House tells the husband that all Marina needs is one more surgery and she'll be fine.
Cameron shows up to meet with Chase, claiming that it was Tuesday. He looks confused for a moment saying "No, its Monday."
She smiles, then says "I know...I just didn't want to wait."
Then Foreman confronts House, thanking him for the opportunity. But then Foreman chips in again saying that "I don't want to solve cases, I want to save lives!" All it does is piss of House and he throws him out. Cameron then comes in to meet with House and hands him a resignation letter (Again!). She waits to say that she expects him to make a joke. After he doesn't she says that she's gotten all she could from this job.
House then meets with the patient and the husband for 'follow-up', meaning a drink and a few smuggled in Cuban cigars, House brings in a couple Americans, disappointing the husband as they drink away the night. The husband then says "She's asleep, don't worry, I double-checked."
House then goes back home, takes out his guitar, that we've never seen before and begins playing. The end.
WOOO! That was an excellent episode, with an excellent song at the end that I MUST have! Thank you Fox! I just want to say the I do NOT own House M.D. or the Fox network, I'm just a sad fan. Thank you again, Fox, its been a great season!
